These pineapple popsicles are a family favorite—sweetened with banana and brightened with a splash of lime for a refreshing, healthy treat.

I’m a bit obsessed with making popsicles year-round, even in the middle of February when my fingers are freezing. I love how easy it is to turn smoothies and fresh fruit into portable frozen treats. My dad is almost as big a popsicle fan as I am—he’s basically a walking advertisement for fruit bars.
This month I’ve been making lots of flavors: chocolate, pineapple-mango, pineapple-blueberry, and pineapple-cherry. Most smoothie recipes freeze beautifully, so don’t hesitate to pour your favorite blend into molds. In my house these pineapple popsicles disappear fast—usually within two days. My kids adore them and sometimes I sneak in some spinach; they still request the “green” popsicles without hesitation.

What you need:
- Frozen pineapple
- One large ripe banana
- Half a lime (juiced)
- Water
I love lime for the bright acidity it adds and how it elevates sweet fruit flavors.
Equipment you’ll need:
- A blender
- A popsicle mold (silicone molds make unmolding easiest)
How to make these popsicles
1. Add the frozen pineapple, ripe banana, lime juice, and water to a blender. Blend on high for about one minute, until the mixture is completely smooth.
2. Pour the blended mixture into your popsicle molds. If your mold has a top that holds the sticks, place it on and freeze. If it doesn’t, freeze until the mixture is partially set (about 30–60 minutes), then insert the sticks so they don’t sink.
3. Freeze for at least four hours, preferably overnight. To unmold silicone popsicles, gently pull the mold away from the popsicle while pushing the bottom up. If your mold is rigid, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before removing to loosen the edges.
