This is one of the most flavorful quick sauces you can make. The combination of mayo and avocado gives it a rich, silky texture while lime and cilantro provide a fresh, tangy lift. It’s great spooned over tacos or used as a creamy spread on sandwiches — I often double the batch so there’s always some in the fridge.

Why You’ll Love This Lime Sauce:

  • Quick. Ready in about 5 minutes using a food processor or blender; no fine chopping required.
  • Easy. Simply combine the ingredients and blend until smooth.
  • Flavor booster. The bright lime and cilantro transform ordinary dishes into something special.

Lime juice and zest: Fresh lime is essential — it gives brightness and acidity this sauce needs.

Mayonnaise: The base that creates a rich, creamy aioli; use your preferred brand.

Avocado: Adds color and a velvety texture that blends beautifully with the mayo.

Substitutions and Variations:

  • Omit cilantro if you dislike it; the sauce will still be delicious.
  • For more heat, add extra jalapeño or leave in some seeds. Pickled jalapeño slices are a good milder option.
  • Always use fresh lime juice instead of bottled for best flavor.
  • If you don’t have a food processor, a blender works fine.
