Baked Boursin Dip is an effortless, crowd-pleasing appetizer that combines creamy, melty Boursin cheese with roasted cherry tomatoes, garlic, and red onion. It comes together quickly, uses a handful of ingredients, and is perfect for holiday gatherings, game days, or casual get-togethers.

This dip is luxurious and simple: soft Boursin rounds bake until gooey while tomatoes roast down and mingle with garlic and onion for a bright, savory sauce. The result is a rich, spreadable dip that pairs beautifully with crostini, crackers, or sliced baguette.

The idea is similar to the viral baked Boursin pasta trend, but kept as a dip so you can serve it as an appetizer. It’s also highly adaptable — add spinach, cooked chicken, or lump crab to make it heartier, or keep it vegetarian for a light, flavorful starter.

Ingredient Notes for Baked Boursin Dip

BOURSIN CHEESE: Boursin is a soft, spreadable French cheese similar in texture to cream cheese. Popular flavors include Garlic & Herb or Shallot & Chive. You can find Boursin rounds in the deli or specialty cheese section of most grocery stores.

TOMATOES: Use cherry tomatoes for convenience and sweetness, about 1 pint (roughly 1.5 cups). If using a larger tomato, chop it and measure approximately the same volume.

RED ONION: Use about 1/4 cup diced red onion. White or yellow onion also work, or omit if you prefer a milder dip.

GARLIC: Two cloves of diced garlic add bright, savory depth — don’t skip it unless you’re avoiding garlic.

EVOO: Drizzle extra virgin olive oil over the tomatoes and cheese before baking. Avocado oil can be used as a substitute.

SALT & PEPPER: Season generously with sea salt and cracked black pepper. Add red pepper flakes for heat if desired.

Baked Boursin Dip

Assemble the dip in an oven-safe dish: place the cherry tomatoes, create a small well in the center for the unwrapped Boursin round, scatter the diced garlic and onion, then drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 30–35 minutes, until the tomatoes have burst and the cheese is warm and melty.

Remove the dish from the oven (it will be hot). Use the back of a fork to mash the roasted tomatoes and stir the softened Boursin until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Serve immediately with crostini, toasted baguette slices, or your favorite dippers.
