Give your pizza lovers a run for their money with this quick, simple pizza dough. It creates a fast, easy, and delicious dinner that everyone will rave about.

Shhhh, Don’t Tell Brandon
Brandon, my husband, takes his pizza seriously. Since he got an Ooni pizza oven, he’s been chasing perfect dough—precise, delicious, and a bit of work. The funny part: one night while he was traveling I made this quick dough for the kids. With a few pantry ingredients, I put together a fast pizza and they declared it the best they’d ever had. They ate it in minutes and begged for more. I almost didn’t tell Brandon!

The No D’oh! Pizza Dough
This recipe uses just six ingredients—one of them is water—so it couldn’t be simpler. As long as the yeast proofs for about 10 minutes, the dough will rise into a satisfyingly chewy crust. It’s forgiving, fast, and likely quicker than ordering takeout. Ready to make pizza?

How to Make Quick and Simple Pizza Dough
Preheat the oven to 450°F. In a large bowl, stir the yeast and sugar into the warm water and let it proof for about 10 minutes until foamy. Add the olive oil, 2 cups of the bread flour, and the salt. Mix with a wooden spoon until the flour is incorporated; the dough will be slightly sticky.

Turn the dough onto a well-floured surface and knead with floured hands until it forms a smooth ball, adding up to 1/4 cup more flour if needed. Use floured hands or a rolling pin to stretch the dough into a large round, about 12–15 inches depending on your pan. Flip and press gently, adding a pinch of flour if it sticks.
Place the shaped dough on a lightly greased pizza pan or pizza stone. Press a few shallow dents across the surface with your fingers to prevent bubbling, leaving the outer edge a little thicker for the crust. Top with sauce and your favorite toppings. Optionally brush the crust edge with olive oil for extra color and flavor.
Bake on the center rack for about 15 minutes, rotating once or twice, until the edges are golden and the toppings are hot and bubbly. Let the pizza rest for about 5 minutes before slicing to allow the cheese and toppings to set.

More Pizza Perfection
If you love quick pizza nights, try other easy favorites like pizza toast for weeknights or after-school snacks. For something different, try a Reuben-style pizza on whole wheat cheese-stuffed crust, or a whole wheat Greek yogurt crust for a lighter thin crust option. These variations let you enjoy pizza in lots of tasty ways with minimal fuss.

I hope you love this quick, simple pizza dough as much as we do. If you make it, snap a photo and share it on social media—I love seeing your takes on the recipes. Enjoy!
