Air Fryer Pigs in a Blanket is one of those recipes where I kept things classic—no extra twists, just a simple, delicious snack done right.
I usually add creative changes to most recipes, but these are timeless. Cutting hot dogs and crescent rolls in half makes everything bite-sized and more fun, so that’s exactly what I do.
Why use an air fryer? A few reasons:
A. You don’t need to wait for the oven to preheat.
B. They finish in 5 to 7 minutes instead of 15.
C. If you have an air fryer, it’s the perfect tool to use.
D. Using the air fryer frees up your oven if you’re preparing multiple appetizers or sides.

How to Make Air Fryer Pigs in a Blanket
Bite-size snacks are more fun and easier to eat. Start by unrolling the crescent dough and cutting each triangle in half.

Next, cut the hot dogs in half. An 8-pack of hot dogs paired with an 8-pack of crescent rolls yields 16 perfect little bites.

Place each hot dog half onto a half-triangle of dough and roll it up, sealing the edges as you go.

Spray the air fryer basket lightly with nonstick spray and arrange the pigs in a blanket in a single layer. I used a 5.8-quart air fryer and they fit perfectly.

Set the air fryer to 370°F and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, until the crescents are golden and the exposed edges of the hot dogs have a slight crisp.

They turn out golden brown with little charred edges that add extra flavor. We served these for a quick family dinner—my son was thrilled when I said “Pigs in a Blanket,” which is always a win. They’re also great as holiday appetizers or game-day snacks.
