Today is National Cake Pops Day! I’m celebrating it as International Cake Pops Day—after all, these little treats deserve worldwide recognition. Over the years I’ve seen so many beautiful and imaginative designs from bakers around the globe, and it’s a joy to watch how creative people get with cake pops.
My very first post about these cupcake-inspired cake pops was published on February 1, 2008. It’s hard to believe eight years have passed so quickly. Back then I had no idea cake pops would capture so many hearts. Since then, cake pops have taken on a life of their own, inspiring bakers and creating sweet memories everywhere.
